del.icio.us direc.tor update

del.icio.us has changed their API host, which breaks the current direc.tor because of the xmlHTTPRequest’s domain security policy. To fix this, the del.icio.us guys have added a couple public pages to allow direc.tor to continuing functioning. Now, you must first browse to https://api.del.icio.us before starting the direc.tor bookmarklet. Let me know if you are having any issues.

  3. Hallo,

I’m not at all a javascript expert, but isn’t it possible to make the direc.tor bookmark go to https://api.del.icio.us automatically?

  5. Please help. When I go to https://api.del.icio.us/ (as instructed), all I get is a page with the following:

    Delicious APIs

All del.icio.us APIs are done over https and require HTTP-Auth.

Information about using the APIs may be found on our API documentation pages.

  7. Justin (and others having problems),

I figured out what we’re doing wrong. (Gee, all I had to do was read Johnvey’s instructions on http://johnvey.com/features/deliciousdirector/.) Anyway, after you go to the https://api.del.icio.us/ page, THEN click on your bookmarklet to open the direc.tor.

  8. After having logged into my del.icio.us account via the Director, I can see all my bookmarks and tags. But I cannot edit them. I keep getting a popup message that I have to be logged into del.icio.us.

  9. I wonder if there would be a way to do the redirection and bookmarklet business with one click only, by using a Greasemonkey script.

  10. When I go to the https://api.del.icio.us page, it gives me a http-auth error instead of asking me to login, and instead of working. What should I do?

Firefox 2.02 on Mac OS X
