The large rock in the middle of the picture is called the “Thousand People Rock.” Because the burial site contained a great deal of treasure they wanted to make sure nobody would come back and try to steal it, so all the workers who worked on constructing the site were brought onto the rock and executed in order to preserve the secrecy of the burial site. Modern sonograms show that there is a large cavity directly underneath the tower which is most likely where the treasure is stored.
