The State Bar of California
After finishing a complete web site redesign, the State Bar still needed to provide a web interface to all their data stored on legacy systems. Read the case study to see how I implemented applications like the attorney search and bar exam results, and architected the corporate intranet.
CitySlate
CitySlate began as a concept with one goal in mind: provide a free and easy to use community bulletin board service on a tight budget. Read the case study to see how I created an appropriate interface that reflected the utilitarian approach.
Cornell Alumni Association of Northern California

The Alumni Association was looking for a new site design, along with an automated event publishing system to handle user-submitted event postings. I designed the layout with the typical alumni in mind, optimized to allow the user to quickly get in and get out with the information they were looking for. Using a multi-view model for the administration interface allowed the site volunteers to quickly sort and approve all the events in the queue.
Roark Technologies

Roark Technologies' language tutor needed a fresh look with which to launch their new application. The site combined actual newspaper articles with real-time word lookups to create an immersive learning environment, which would become a tremendous resource for language students. I formalized the navigation structure and created a cohesive interface that enabled users to quickly find the right tools, thus promoting the efficient nature of the application.
Planetarabia

Planetarabia quickly outgrew its original content management system when they decided to produce content in two more languages, Arabic and French, in addition to English. I built a unified content management system that enabled Planetarabia to publish trilingual content in separate “editions” on the web site, while keeping the backend process running efficiently through a single user interface and editorial workflow.
Cornell Integrated Microscopy Center

The Microscopy Center owned an array of high-powered machinery, and needed an automated scheduler to coordinate microscope usage amongst all the researchers. I created an authenticated scheduling application that gave users at-a-glance views of their own reservations as well as all the available equipment. The interface was also integrated with Cornell's electronic directory to provide single-click access to real-time contact information.
